Business Development Manager – Logistics

Business Development Manager –Logistics – Perm – Dover (Hybrid) - £52K plus bonus  - Are you a commercially driven business development professional with experience in logistics, ports, freight or supply chain? Looking for a role where you can make a genuine impact and help shape the growth of a thriving operation? - We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing organisation operating within the UK logistics sector. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-performing commercial team, developing new business across cargo while building long-term relationships with customers across industries including construction, infrastructure and manufacturing - The Role - This is a varied, customer-facing position where you'll combine account management with proactive business development. Working closely with operational teams, you'll identify new commercial opportunities, prepare proposals, support tenders and help deliver strategic growth plans. -   - Key responsibilities include: - Developing and managing relationships with new and existing customersIdentifying and converting new business opportunitiesPreparing commercial proposals and supporting contract negotiationsWorking collaboratively with operations to ensure excellent customer deliveryMonitoring market trends and competitor activityRepresenting the business at industry events and networking opportunities  - About You - You'll ideally have experience within logistics, freight forwarding, ports, shipping, supply chain or a related commercial environment. - We're looking for someone who has: - A proven background in business development, sales or account managementStrong relationship-building and negotiation skillsA commercial mindset with the ability to spot growth opportunitiesExcellent communication and presentation skillsA proactive, self-motivated approach and the ability to build credibility with customers  - Experience within cargo, or bulk logistics or related sectors would be highly advantageous, although candidates from wider logistics and supply chain backgrounds are encouraged to apply. -   - What's on Offer? - Salary circa £52,000Annual discretionary bonusPrivate healthcareGenerous pension scheme25 days' holiday plus bank holidaysLife assuranceEmployee assistance programmeCycle to work schemeFree parkingLong-term career development within a growing and successful organisation  - If you're looking for a commercially focused role where you'll have the opportunity to influence growth, develop strategic customer relationships and build your career within a dynamic sector, we'd love to hear from you. - ...
